Coverage of a company event, from a dinner to an away day.
Coverage of a company event, from a dinner to an away day.
This page covers how the booking works, what arrives afterwards and which London locations suit it.
| Corporate event photography | |
|---|---|
| How long | A shot list is agreed in advance: the room, the speakers, the sponsor branding and the candid frames between sessions. |
| Delivered | A full edited gallery, with a small set delivered fast for same-day posting. |
| Price | Quoted per brief. A half day and a full day are both available. |
| Where | Canary Wharf, Mayfair, St Paul's |
A shot list is agreed in advance: the room, the speakers, the sponsor branding and the candid frames between sessions. Same-day selects are possible when the client needs them for social.
A full edited gallery, with a small set delivered fast for same-day posting.
Quoted per brief. A half day and a full day are both available. The full list of services and published starting prices is on the services page.
Three locations that suit this kind of shoot, each with its own permission rules:
Permission is the part people forget. A Royal Park needs a permit booked at least ten days ahead, and it covers one hour for up to ten people.
The full list is on London photoshoot locations, with the authority for each one.

Mariya's verdict. Book the location before the guests. Changing a date is easy, changing a permit is not.
The timetable, with the hour you want portraits marked on it.
Whether the venue allows photography, which is a separate question from whether you booked the room.
Who is in the group shots, and who is going to gather them.
Where the images will be used, because that decides the usage rights rather than the price of the hour.
Light in the room at the hour of the event, not at the hour you visited it.
Wide shots of a full room, the speaker mid-gesture, sponsor branding in frame, and people talking to each other.
Those four cover almost every later use, from a recap post to next year's brochure.
Agree in advance whether staff may be photographed and how consent is handled.
| When | What is photographed | Why it is placed there |
|---|---|---|
| Set-up | Branding, room, stage, sponsor boards | Before anyone arrives |
| Arrival | Registration, coffee, first conversations | The frames marketing uses all year |
| Sessions | Speakers from two positions | Variety for the deck and the recap |
| Breaks | People talking to each other | The most requested and least planned frames |
| Close | Group shots, awards, thank-yous | Fixed, organised, quick |
The order matters more than the length. A shoot that starts in the wrong place never catches up.
A running order the day before, not on the morning.
A shot list of what marketing needs.
A note on consent, especially if staff appear.
Someone who can point at people by name.
No shot list, which turns a day into guesswork.
Sponsors expecting their branding in frame without saying so.
Leaving group photographs until people have started leaving.
Expecting same-day selects without anyone free to receive them.
A full edited gallery organised by session.
A small set delivered fast for same-day posting.
Usage rights for marketing, agreed in the quote.
Send the date, the venue and what the images are for. That is enough for a quote.
Permission is worth checking early. Several London venues and every Royal Park need it, and the notice periods are measured in days.
Prices follow the published starting points where the job matches one, and are quoted per brief where it does not.
A venue booking is not permission to photograph. They are two different conversations, and the second one is often forgotten.
Royal Parks issue a permit that covers one hour and up to ten people, with at least ten days notice and five million pounds of public liability insurance.
Borough film offices licence street work. Private estates set their own terms and their security enforces them.
Churches and registrars decide what happens during a service, and the officiant has the last word on the day.
Every location page on this site names the authority that applies, so the answer takes a minute rather than an afternoon.
| Factor | Effect |
|---|---|
| Hours covered | The direct multiplier |
| Number of finished images | Retouching is per image |
| Usage rights | Organic social costs less than paid media or print |
| Second photographer | A day rate on top, for large events |
| Turnaround | Same-day selects displace other work |
| Travel | Charged separately outside London |
Full ranges, including third-party UK averages, are on the cost page.
Whether a deposit holds the date, and what happens if the date moves.
Whether the images can be used for advertising as well as social.
How many photographs arrive, and how many of those are fully retouched.
Whether guests can be given access to the gallery.
What happens if the weather ruins the outdoor part of the plan.
In London the useful light moves by four hours between June and December.
A winter booking at four in the afternoon is a night shoot, whatever the invitation says.
For anything outdoors, the hour before sunset does more than any equipment.
Indoors, the question is different: what the room looks like when it is full, which is rarely what it looks like on a viewing.
Say which matters more, the light or the schedule, and the plan follows from that.
This page is written by Mariya Harley, a fashion, portrait and hotel photographer working from a studio in west London.
The tools described here are the ones that reach a working photographer's desk, and the failures described are the ones that reach a client's screen.
Prices and features are read from vendor pages rather than repeated from other articles. The date of that check is printed above each table.
Nothing here is sponsored, and there are no affiliate links. A tool appears because it does the job, or because people ask about it.
What is deliberately absent: benchmark scores copied from press releases, rankings that change with the season, and any claim that software can replace direction, light or responsibility for the result.
If a price here is out of date, the vendor page wins. Tell me and I will correct it.

Send the date and the venue and I will quote it.
