Posing dates faster than clothing. The hand-on-hip-and-smile that looked polished in 2019 now reads as a stock photograph, and the shift is not subtle: 2026 has gone hard towards unposed, documentary-looking frames, direct flash, motion and imperfection.

The dominant register moved towards documentary-looking, unposed frames: direct flash, motion, film grain, imperfect backgrounds. It is a reaction to a decade of highly polished, evenly lit content, and it shows up in editorial work and in feeds at the same time.
