Directed portrait session producing a relaxed, current frame

Is your posing stuck in 2019?

Time For A Full Reset

Every photograph of you uses the same handful of moves, and they are the ones that have aged the most.

Why this happens

Almost always because nobody has ever directed you, so you fall back on the poses you have seen most. It has nothing to do with how you look and everything to do with having no alternatives loaded.

The reset, in three steps

First, take the weight off both feet — stand on the back one. Second, put something in your hands. Third, move between every frame rather than holding still: turn, step, sit, adjust. Three changes, and the whole set moves forward five years.

What to book

A session with a photographer who directs continuously. Say in the enquiry that you want to be told what to do — that single sentence changes how the shoot is run.

What not to do

Do not study reference images the night before and try to reproduce them. Copied poses look copied. Bring the references as a mood, not as a checklist.

How this result was scored

The quiz asks 8 questions. Every answer carries a weight, and this result covers scores from 19 to 24 out of a possible 24. Landing here means your answers clustered in that band rather than at either extreme — the bands exist because the useful advice genuinely differs between them, not to flatter anyone.

The scoring happens in your browser. No answer is transmitted, stored or attached to you; the quiz simply opens the fixed page matching your band.
